These guidelines are for students who want to work with me for their PhD or M.Phil thesis or dissertation

PhD and M.Phil.

I will accept only a limited number of students for PhD and M.Phil thesis or dissertation (NET/SET/UGC-JRF / URF / any other fellowship preferred). If you want me as mentor/advisor/supervisor of your PhD and M.Phil thesis or dissertation, please follow the following steps:

Step1: Send me an e-mail explaining your background, knowledge, experience regarding the proposed work, the research questions (should be interdisciplinary in nature, I emphasise) and methodology you want to adopt.

Step 2: If we are agree on these preliminaries, you should write a research synopsis of 8-10 pages with literature sources and with proper citations.

Step 3: I will review the proposal and within a week I will let you know if I can accept you as doctoral or M.Phil student (as the case may be).

Writing Language of thesis/dissertation

I expect them to write their thesis/dissertation in English only just because I want its much wider reach to the world community, more international visibility and availability of standard literature sources.

Interdisciplinary knowledge & approach

Apart from his or her subject knowledge, interdisciplinary knowledge and approach is highly expected in formulating the research questions or hypothesis.

Academic Integrity

Expectations

Students must be very sincere and dedicated towards their work and delay in carrying out the work is strictly not allowed without valid and acceptable reasons. Students are expected to follow a routine while carrying out their tasks. They are expected to contribute genuinely in the relevant subject for the creation of new knowledge instead of mere compilation of literature  Doctoral students will write at least 4 research papers and M.Phil students will write at least 2 research papers in standard peer-reviewed national or international journals not in local journal.
